Quake Epsilon is a graphically enhanced build of shareware Quake 1 for Windows/Linux/Mac, which can be upgraded to the full version of Quake along with it's mission packs Scourge of Armagon and Dissolution of Eternity by copying the full-version.pak files into the correct folders. Quake II is a first-person shooter video game released in December 1997. It was developed by id Software and published by Activision. It is not a direct sequel to Quake; id decided to revert to an existing trademark when the game's fast-paced, tactile feel felt closer to a Quake game than a new franchise. The game's storyline is continued in its expansions and Quake 4. Quake 2 RTX Demo Crashing on Start #39 opened Jul 23, 2019 by deltamish. Announcement: SIGGRAPH presentation on lighting in Q2RTX #38. I'm Having trouble to play Quake 2 and Rayman 2 for the playstation. Both games start ok, but after some gameplay, about 10 - 15 minutes the game crashes and goes to the game list selection on retropie menu. I'm using Lr-Pcsx- ReARMed 1.7.6 r22. Berzerk2002: Place the Yamagi files into your Quake 2 game folder, then start the game using 'yquake2.exe' and then change the resolution to whatever you want in the games video options. I don't see that file name in my Quake 2 folder.

Renderer differences[edit]
RTX[edit]
- Uses hardware path tracing, and as such requires graphics card and driver capable of
VK_NV_ray_tracing
Vulkan extension. - New high resolution models of weapons and items, updated textures and lighting.
- Exposes a wide number of sun position and environment lighting settings.
OpenGL[edit]
- Uses OpenGL engine of Q2PRO source port.
- Does not require special hardware.
- On non-RTX hardware can be set via command line, see API section.
Widescreen resolution[edit]
- Older versions of the program are Vert-. For proper weapon appearance and Hor+ support
cl_adjustfov
variable must be set to 1. See gallery below. - Fix is unnecessary on latest up-to-date version of program.
Fix weapon appearance, enable Hor+[2] |
---|
- Go to the configuration file(s) location.
- Open or create text file
autoexec.cfg using Notepad or other text editor. - Paste
seta cl_adjustfov '1' line there. - Save the file.
- Launch the game.
